An Insider Look at Jennifer Lawrence’s Fitness Journey: Discover the Trainer Behind Her Toned and Healthy Lifestyle

Dalton Wong, the founder of Twenty Two Training, a private gym located in West London, is an esteemed trainer who caters to the fitness needs of actresses. He travels worldwide to maintain the physical fitness of these stars and ensures they follow their workout regimes even while on set, despite being in their character’s attire. Over the years, he has trained numerous celebrities such as Kit Harrington, Amanda Seyfried, Alice Eve, Diana Argon, and Zoë Kravitz, among others. However, Jennifer Lawrence stands out as Dalton’s most grateful client, who credits him with changing her life. The two met in 2010, and since then, Dalton has taught her how to eat, move, and lead a healthy life, which she describes as “delicious.” During their preparation for X-Men: First Class, they engaged in rigorous training, including running, weightlifting, yoga, resistance, and squats.

Jennifer Lawrence received fitness training from Dalton Wong, a trainer based in London, for her superhero role in blockbuster films. Wong’s book, The Feelgood Plan, was used to help J-Law get in shape within three months of starting a healthy lifestyle. Wong claims to be one of the trainers who educated her about nutrition and helped her choose foods that make her feel good. Wong has recently been working with Eve Hewson, the daughter of Bono, who plays the female lead in the upcoming movie Robin Hood alongside Jamie Dornan and Jamie Foxx. Wong trained Hewson every day, taking advantage of any free time to work out together between filming. Wong aimed to ensure that Hewson looked fit and healthy for her role as well as having a good workout regime. They worked out for an hour each day at the gym but had only 10 minutes on set.

Back in 2011, Jennifer Lawrence took on the role of Mystique in X-Men: First Class. To get ready for the part, she worked closely with her trainer, putting in serious effort with activities like running, weight lifting, yoga, resistance training, and squats.

In 2010, Dalton first met Lawrence around the same time she was being cast in major Hollywood films. As a fitness trainer, Dalton has recently launched his own Mini-Band Workout that utilizes resistance bands to help shape the bodies of Hollywood stars and busy Londoners alike. This workout consists of a 15-minute circuit-training program divided into three different programs, each using a different colored band for posture, fat burning, and toning. With over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry, Dalton understands what women need to do to achieve their desired physique. Healthista asked Dalton for his best advice on how to see results faster.

Dalton believes that one of the main reasons people fail to see results is their tendency to change their focus too frequently. He recommends that individuals establish their primary goal and stick with it for at least four weeks. For example, if weight loss is the goal, he would design an exercise, nutrition, lifestyle, and stress management plan tailored to that goal. Once they have achieved their initial objective, then they can transition to focus on other areas such as posture or muscle gain.

Another reason Dalton cites for lack of progress is staying within one’s comfort zone. He encourages individuals to push themselves beyond their limits and try new exercises. Our bodies tend to become accustomed to the same routine, so changing things up can be necessary to see results. By stepping outside of one’s comfort zone and challenging oneself regularly, individuals can achieve their fitness goals more effectively.

Dalton (pictured training a client) said in order to get the best results people need to focus on one goal at a time. By constantly changing focus they will never achieve their first goal

According to Dalton, a fitness trainer seen in the picture working with a client, individuals should concentrate on accomplishing a single objective at a time to attain the desired outcome. The continuous shift in focus will impede them from achieving their primary goal.

The blonde beauty credited the health guru for helping her to eat right, saying: 'Dalton taught me how to eat, move and live a delicious but healthy life. I will always thank him for that'

The attractive blonde gave thanks to the health expert for guiding her towards a nutritious lifestyle. She stated that Dalton has been instrumental in teaching her how to consume healthy and tasty food, as well as how to stay active. She expressed her gratitude for his guidance and influence on her life.

The key to effective workouts is to push yourself out of your comfort zone. It doesn’t have to be extreme, but you should aim for discomfort during exercise. If you’re used to sitting at a desk all day, your workout may not be as effective as it could be. Try working out at your highest intensity for 20 minutes instead of 45 minutes of moderate exercise. Additionally, when your body feels exhausted near the end of a workout, push through it. Your brain may be telling you to stop, but you can work harder than you think.

It’s also important to vary your workouts and incorporate resistance training into your routine. If you only stick to one type of exercise, your body will become used to it and you won’t see much improvement. Mixing it up with strength or resistance training, flexibility exercises, and cardio will give you a more effective program. Don’t forget to work on your weaknesses, rather than just focusing on your strengths. If you struggle with flexibility, aim to improve it. Similarly, if you’re having trouble with certain yoga positions, resistance training can help you get into them. By incorporating different exercises and listening to your body, you can achieve a stronger, more flexible, and stable physique.

Although Lawrence made headlines in the past for professing her love of pizza, the actress eats healthy, picking up groceries at Whole Foods and attends spin classes

Lawrence’s love for pizza may have made headlines in the past, but she’s actually quite health-conscious. She shops at Whole Foods and attends spin classes to maintain her physique. According to Dalton, a celebrity trainer, achieving a celebrity body requires hard work and dedication. Celebrities have a reputation to uphold, both on and off the camera, which means they must ensure that they look and feel a certain way. Dalton believes that celebrities are professional athletes who work just as hard, if not harder, than actual athletes. They must remain healthy and sustain their bodies to fit into various roles. While most jobs don’t require this level of dedication, celebrities are professional at their jobs and must work hard 95% of the time.

Dalton also works with other celebrity clients including Dianna Agron (pictured)

Dalton is a personal trainer who works with celebrities like Dianna Agron to help them achieve their fitness goals. He follows a four-step approach that includes creating a nutrition plan tailored to their needs, identifying exercises that are best suited for their role and appearance, offering lifestyle tips, and helping them manage stress. Dalton uses resistance bands in his workouts and recommends them to his clients because they engage the muscles, making them feel like they’re being worked, and can be easily carried on the go. Dalton has recently released his own Mini-Band Workout, which includes three different bands for posture, fat burning, and toning.

The physical trainer encourages clients to use resistance bands to further fuel their training

The physical trainer recommends incorporating resistance bands into your training routine to enhance your workouts. While they cannot replace weights or other equipment, they offer an additional form of resistance training that can be empowering for women who may be intimidated by traditional weights. Resistance bands are a great entry-level option for those who have financial or time constraints or lack training experience. This type of training can help build strength and prepare you for more advanced exercises like weights and pull-ups. As for fat-burning exercises, the trainer suggests anything that pushes you out of your comfort zone, but stresses the importance of working within your own capacity. High-intensity interval training (HIIT) may be too strenuous for some people, so starting with jogging at 80% intensity for 30-second intervals can still be effective without causing extreme soreness or injury.

The lean Zoe Kravitz has also worked with Dalton in the past and her figure is evidence

Zoe Kravitz, who is famously lean, has previously worked with Dalton. She recommends seeking advice from a professional when it comes to strength training. This can be in the form of a class or a trainer who can show you how to safely and effectively use resistance training. There are many options such as Pilates, barre classes, and even some spin classes that incorporate resistance training. It’s important to start with lighter weights and progress gradually to avoid injury and soreness.

Dalton also advises women to focus on working the back muscles, particularly the ones between the shoulder blades, to improve posture and lift the chest naturally. Strengthening the glutes is also important for both cosmetic and health reasons, as it can prevent back, hip, and knee pain.

In terms of diet, Dalton follows a balanced approach that includes protein, carbs, and fats. During the week, she eats clean with lots of vegetables and limited carbs. However, on weekends she tends to have a more flexible diet when she’s with family. This might include some bread, quinoa salad, sweet potato, or even roast potatoes (without the Yorkshire pudding). Overall, her approach to fitness and nutrition emphasizes both aesthetic goals and overall health benefits.

Dalton advises his clients to be mindful of what they eat but to ultimatley to enjoy themselves

Dalton suggests to his clients that they should be conscious about their food choices, but ultimately, they should enjoy themselves. As a parent, he understands the importance of setting a good example for his children and advises his clients to do the same. During work hours, Dalton encourages his clients to be strict with their diets but to relax and enjoy their meals during their free time, such as on weekends or vacations.
Dalton believes that people should not deprive themselves of the foods they enjoy, as it will lead to overeating. If a client desires an ice cream or drink while out with friends or loved ones, Dalton advises them to indulge in moderation. He thinks that denying oneself of their favorite foods is counterproductive and can cause cravings to intensify. Instead, Dalton suggests eating half the pizza with a salad or grilled vegetables or having four scoops of ice cream in a bowl. Nothing is completely off-limits as long as it is consumed with mindfulness, pleasure, and no guilt. Dalton promotes a balanced lifestyle rather than a restrictive diet to his clients.
