From Beauty Pageant to Box Office Hit: Gal Gadot's Rise as the Iconic Wonder Woman

Gal Gadot is an impressive woman with a wide range of skills and achievements. Most notably, she wowed audiences with her performance as Wonder Woman, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The 32-year-old actress from Israel is also known for performing her own stunts and has a military background. She’s a proud mother of two daughters and used to run a luxurious hotel with her husband. On top of everything else, Gal is also a former beauty pageant winner. It’s safe to say that she’s a true jack-of-all-trades!

When she was just 19 years old, this aspiring celebrity participated in the 2004 Miss Israel contest and came out as the champion. Not one to rest on her laurels, she decided to take part in the Miss Universe event held in Quito, Ecuador that same year. Dressed in a stunning black evening gown that had a noticeable slit, she completely dazzled the audience. Later, she also wore a bright bikini that showed off her toned physique. While it was Jennifer Hawkins who ultimately won the pageant and took home the crown of Miss Universe, we are fortunate enough to have these photographs of Gal Gadot dancing alongside her fellow contestants as a reminder of this historic moment.
