Gal Gadot, who will play the iconic superhero Wonder Woman in the upcoming film, graces the cover of W Magazine’s May issue. In the photo shoot, the 32-year-old actress poses below a giant ‘W’ and wears only a half-on Burberry trench coat. The cover is certainly eye-catching and showcases Gadot’s stunning features.
Incredible! Gal Gadot, aged 32, graces the front cover of W Magazine for the May issue.
The upcoming film Wonder Woman, set to release in June, features the former Miss Israel as its lead. In a recent magazine shoot, she radiates elegance and sophistication while sporting a Bottega Veneta taupe shirt with a matching skirt, a figure-hugging Diane von Furstenberg dress, and a playful Prada dress inspired by the 70s. As an homage to her patriotic character, she also dons a red, white, and blue Gucci cardigan jacket over her Hermรจs swimsuit. Interestingly, Gal initially had no intentions of pursuing a career in acting but was convinced otherwise. After completing her two years of military service in Israel’s IDF following her Miss Israel win in 2004, she enrolled in law school before being approached to audition for a role as a Bond girl. Despite her undeniable poise and star power, Gal’s acting journey was not always in the cards for her.
Unenthusiastic: Despite pursuing law after serving in the IDF, she had no interest in becoming an actress. However, she was asked to try out for the role of a Bond girl.
In 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, she made her debut as Wonder Woman. At first, she rejected the role. She stated, “Absolutely not. I am focused on my studies of law and international relations. I consider myself too serious and intelligent to act, plus the script is entirely in English, a language I am not entirely comfortable with.” She was competent in English, but it was not her preferred language. Despite not getting the role, she was able to secure a spot in Fast & Furious and had to quit school due to her flourishing modeling career. Though she is undoubtedly stunning, her casting as Wonder Woman did not please everyone. Nonetheless, she portrayed the character in Batman v Superman for the first time last year.
Can you believe it? Gal recently revealed that a few die-hard comic book enthusiasts weren’t too thrilled about her being cast as their beloved superhero because, according to them, she didn’t have the right cup size.
Breast enlargement: The actress was carrying a baby during the shooting schedule and had to deal with frequent headaches while visiting the set.
The next thing to note is that although she didn’t land the role of a Bond girl, she did manage to secure a part in Fast & Furious. As it turns out, her chest size was the reason why she wasn’t chosen for the former. She joked that the media paid more attention to the importance of Wonder Woman’s assets. Interestingly, her breasts seemed to have grown a bit while on set for the original ensemble film. This could be explained by the fact that she was pregnant during filming. Gal revealed that she suffered from terrible migraines and had to wear dark glasses on set. Her pregnancy was not an attempt at going “Hollywood,” but rather a happy surprise. She now has two daughters with her husband Yaron Varsano, a real estate developer, Alma who is five years old, and newborn Maya.
