Travis Scott, a popular rap artist, was recently questioned for several hours in a civil deposition as part of the ongoing litigation surrounding the 2021 Astroworld festival. The festival resulted in numerous deaths and injuries, leading to hundreds of lawsuits against Scott and others involved in organizing the event. Despite extensive government investigations clearing him of any wrongdoing, Scott was still questioned by attorneys representing those who filed the lawsuits. While remaining committed to his tour and charitable efforts, Scott is fully cooperating with the legal process. The first trial from the lawsuits is scheduled for May 6, 2024, nearly 2.5 years after the fatal concert.
Amidst the current challenging circumstances, Scott graced his presence at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 15, 2022 to attend the highly-anticipated 2022 Billboard Music Awards.

In April, court documents revealed that over 1,500 active cases had been filed against Scott and Live Nation, with many relating to physical injuries and emotional distress caused by the Astroworld concert. A total of 992 cases involved physical injuries, while 313 were related to emotional suffering. In 17 cases, orthopedic surgery had already been completed, with a further 21 surgeries recommended. Some of the lawsuits have been resolved, including those from families of three people who died at the concert. On the same day that Scott gave his deposition, Drake, who also performed at the concert, was performing in Houston. Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott are parents to two children, Stormi and Aire. Jenner is now dating actor Timothee Chalamet.
