Despite making new friends in the celebrity world such as Sophie Turner and Brittany Mahomes, Taylor Swift has shown that she still values her old friendships. The singer recently donated two tickets to her Eras Tour to Selena Gomez’s charity auction, which was held on Wednesday night. Selena, who has been friends with Taylor for 15 years, organized the event to raise funds for the mentally ill through her Rare Impact Fund. Taylor’s donation helped the cause and the tickets were sold for $15,000 at the auction. The Eras Tour has been very successful financially, bringing Taylor closer to billionaire status. Fans have been eager to attend the shows and this trend continued at Selena’s auction.

Taylor lent a helping hand to the cause by generously donating tickets to her highly successful Eras Tour, which were sold for a whopping $15,000. The singer was captured performing at a show in Las Vegas in March.
Taylor and Selena have had a loyal friendship since 2008 when they were both dating Jonas Brothers as teen stars. Recently, a Hollywood gala was hosted by Martin Short, who is known for his work alongside Selena and Steve Martin on Hulu sitcom Only Murders In The Building. The bidding for Taylor’s show tickets started at $5,000 but went up to three times that amount due to the rising demand for seats. At the event, H.E.R. performed for the celebrity guests, including Benny Blanco, Colton Underwood, and Sofia Carson. Also in attendance was Selena’s friend and kidney donor, Francia Raisa, indicating that their feud has been resolved. Selena had an on-and-off relationship with Justin Bieber, who later married Hailey Baldwin, Alec Baldwin’s niece, in 2018. After Justin’s marriage, Selena reportedly suffered a mental breakdown related to lupus and entered treatment for her mental health. She has been open about being diagnosed with multiple mental health conditions, including bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression.
Selena, at the age of 31, had checked herself into a treatment facility in 2018 after experiencing a breakdown. Recently, she has been collecting funds to support those struggling with mental illnesses.
A star-studded event took place in Hollywood which was hosted by Martin Short, who is a part of the popular Hulu comedy series “Only Murders In The Building” alongside Selena and Steve Martin.
Success story: Martin initiated the auction by placing a starting bid of $5,000. However, due to the overwhelming popularity of Taylor’s concerts, the ticket prices skyrocketed to triple the initial amount.
Currently, Taylor is taking a break from her Eras Tour and has been enjoying a steamy romance with NFL player Travis Kelce. The two met at a party after one of Travis’ games with the Kansas City Chiefs, where Taylor also became friends with Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Travis’ teammate Patrick Mahomes. Additionally, Taylor is building a friendship with Sophie Turner, who is going through a divorce from their mutual ex, Joe Jonas. Taylor has written several songs rumored to be about Joe, including the harsh “Better Than Revenge,” after briefly dating him in 2008. Joe and Sophie tied the knot in 2019 but separated recently, fighting over custody of their two daughters and where they should reside – in the US or UK.
